A Project Steering Committee composed of the Initiating Partners, representatives of civil society, African governments, and funding contributors assures governance of the project and oversees the work of a multidisciplinary Project Team.
Key expertise for the conduct and management of the project comes from the Global Business Environment (GBE) team at Shell International Limited. Shell has significant expertise and experience built over many years in scenario-building, both for its internal needs and in a number of public-interest projects. The GBE team will provide leadership, process design, facilitation and quality control of outputs. The costs associated with the professional advice and support services are being met by Shell International Limited.
The Project Team is led by a Project Director and a UNAIDS Senior Policy Adviser and is accountable to the Project Steering Committee.
The Project Steering Committee may invite guidance and assistance from a small number of Project Advocates—distinguished individuals with key expertise in relation to the project’s methods and objectives, who could promote the project among the wider public.
